What is Ho’oponopono? Ho’oponopono is a very ancient Polynesian art of problem solving, a healing practice.

Have you heard of the story of a therapist who was able to heal criminals without even going to visit them. His name is Dr Ihaleakala Hew Len and he accomplished amazing things. Dr. Len took on the challenge of working at the Hawaii State hospital in the ward where they kept the insane patients who were totally out of control. The staff turnover was very high because they were so afraid of the patients. Dr. Len said he would see what he could do. Although Dr. Len never actually worked with the patients directly; he did ask to see their files. Through the power of Ho’oponopono they were able to close the ward within 3 years; because all of the patients were healed.

Philosophy Behind Ho’oponopono

The philosophy behind Ho’oponopono is very simple but extremely powerful; we are all responsible for our reality; even things that are totally outside of our control. On some unconscious level you have attracted these things into your reality. By asking for forgiveness, apologizing, and spreading love, we can all begin to heal.

How to put Ho’oponopono into practice?

One must be 100% responsible; to see within ourselves there is something wrong within me that this occurs. Our conscious mind is only aware of a minute amount of our thoughts. Our subconscious mind is aware of a vastly larger database of knowledge. In turn, when we meet others, there is always work to be done. We may not be aware of it, but we do have some unfinished business to clear. So we offer the following;

“I’m sorry.
Please forgive me.
Thank you.
I love you”

We are telling our subconscious that we are taking responsibility, and we are seeking forgiveness. As every memory that arises is a moment for our personal growth.

“I’m sorry for whatever is going on in me, and love is the only thing that can transform.” - Dr. Hew Len

The first healing that needs to happen is to solve the problems within ourselves. Peace begins with me.

When you begin offering the Ho’oponopono prayer in your daily lives; you will start to see strong transformations.

In good health,

Gloria
